If you enjoy watching NBA basketball, it is likely you’ve got your favorite and worst NBA broadcasters. There’s nothing worse when you are trying to watch a good game and it is ruined by a broadcaster that does not know when they need to quiet down and just let you enjoy the game.
To save you from having to listen to some of the worst NBA broadcasters, we have listed them below, so you can mute your TV!
Reggie Miller We’ve already detailed this out in a dedicated article on why Reggie MIller is the worst NBA broadcaster. In short, he does not provide good insight into any game that he covers, as other presenters do. Miller comes across as very awkward and frankly just is not good to listen to.
Chris Webber Chris is very biased against calling out those teams that made him look bad when he used to play. The former Michigan Wolverine and Sacramento King is also quite full of himself. The very few times that Webber is right about something, you will not hear the end of it!
Bill Walton Infamously known for commentating while high, Bill Walton is considered a terrible broadcaster. He witters on about almost anything and it almost makes you wonder whether you are watching a basketball or listening to the ramblings of a lunatic.
Mark Jackson Mark loves to refer to everyone he is speaking of as being the best; this can make it hard to take him seriously when one year he will call one player the best and the following year have a new best!
Tommy Heinsohn We find that Tommy is highly biased and has frequently referred to the NBA as being stupid. We are not quite sure why Celtics’ fans find him so appealing, but we would rather not listen to his biasedness while watching a game.
Mike Rice If you find that the Celtics’ Heinsohn was biased, you must have hated listening to Mike Rice. Many considered Rice to be, by far, the most biased NBA broadcaster there was in the league. You will also notice that he frequently compares amateur, mediocre players to absolute legends, which is quite disrespectful. Thankfully the Portland Trailblazers fired Rice, his partner in the booth Mike Barrett as well as Antonio Harvey in 2016.
It’s certainly a better option to pass the time and avoid listening to some of the worst NBA broadcasters!
