Maccabi managed to beat Emporio Armani Milan in a convincing manner and qualify for the Euroleague Final Four. This is a great success for a team that was never considered among top 4 teams this year. EA7 showed lack of confidence although they have lots of experienced players on their roster. This is the first appearance at the final four for Maccabi in the past four years and 12 since the format was presented in 1988.
The Israeli side beat Armani 86:66 in front of a sold out arena at Tel Aviv. Ricky Hickman and Alex Tyus scored 16 points each and led the way for Maccabi. Tuys also added 9 rebounds. Keith Langford had a huge game for the visiting side finishing the game with 28 points and managing to draw 11 fouls from his opponents. This was not enough because only Daniel Haccket managed to join Langfor and score in double figures.
Maccabi will face Barcelona in the final four and try to win their eight championship in the Euroleague.
