Is Matthew Dellavedova a dirty player?

Matthew Dellavedova caught the attention of the NBA audience when he was involved with Taj Gibson in a kicking incident that sent the Chicago Bulls forward to the stands, and since then people are questioning is he just too devoted to the game of basketball day in and day out or he’s a dirty player.

The question was raised again in the Eastern Conference Finals that the Cleveland Cavaliers are playing against the Atlanta Hawks when Matthew Dellavedova was directly involved in the play that sent Kyle Korver to the surgeon with a severe upper sprain on his ankle.

The video footage shows that although Dellavedova was going for the ball, he also went with his full body to the leg of Kyle Korver. Every sport enthusiast that trained basketball even for couple of months knows that feisty players are coach favorites, but everybody in the game knows that heavy tackles on other people’s legs and recklessness are just contrary to the code of conduct.

Coach David Blatt and team captain LeBron James stand strongly behind Dellavedova and they say that he should be praised for his performance while Kyrie Irving is out, contrary to the amounts of bad reputation he’s getting in media circles.
