Connor McCaffery is Caitlin Clark’s boyfriend. He also played basketball at Iowa. He was able to spend six seasons as part of the Iowa men’s team. He was a decent player, but stat line of (4.5 ppg, 3.0 rpg, and 3.2 apg across 166 games) doesn’t translate into playing at the next level. He started a total of 88 games at Iowa and earned the Academic Excellence Award for five seasons. He also played baseball during the 2018-19 season, but due to injury had to focus only on basketball. 

What Does Conor McCaffery Do for Work? 

After Conor graduated from the University of Iowa in 2023, he took an entry-level job with the Indiana Pacers. He’s now a team assistant for the team. As a team assistant, he’ll do everything from running the scout team to helping on film/scouting reports to you name it. A perfect job to get your foot in the door, learn the other side of the business, and move up the ranks. With the Pacers in the 2024 NBA Playoffs, it has to be a crazy busy time for him too.  

What Type of Work Does Conor McCaffery’s Dad Do? 

So, Conor’s Dad is a coach. The University of Iowa’s men’s basketball head coach for that matter. Fran McCaffery has been the head coach at Iowa since 2010. He was Conor’s coach when he played for the Hawkeyes. 

How Long have Conor McCaffery and Caitlin Clark Been Dating? 

So apparently, April 24th was the “official” one year anniversary for Caitlin Clark and Conor McCaffery. They each shared Insta posts to each other marking the day. They have each been super quiet on when exactly they started becoming a “thing” but not necessarily dating. We can assume with all the time they each spent playing basketball at the same school, that it was somewhere in the last year or two. I’m sure we’ll see more and more details come out as Clark gets settled in with the Indiana Fever in the same town as Conor now.
