With see-everything playmakers like Ricky Rubio, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash and Rajon Rondo in the league over the last several years, it’s great to see these tricksters play with angles, speed, and misdirection to get their passes to their targets.

However, here’s a pass that you’ll never see from those point guards. Not that they can’t see the same play developing; they just don’t have the hangtime that a Derrick Rose has. When Rose is playing, he is easily one of the more “wow” players in the NBA.

In their game against the Detroit Pistons on Monday, Rose rose up in the air pretending to pass to a cutting Pau Gasol, but instead passing it to Joakim Noah for the layup. This double pump pass all happened while Rose was hanging in air.

Chicago defeated Detroit 102-91. Rose led the Bulls with 24 points on 9-20 shooting and 7 assists.
