Caitlin Clark WNBA Stats: Indiana Fever

Clark’s early tenure in the WNBA has been marred in several ways. Through the first dozen or so games, her Indiana Fever have the second worst record in the W. On top of that, she hasn’t performed to the very expectations she set playing for the Hawkeyes. This has led to a false narrative that WNBA players have it out for Clark and are working against their own interests.

Despite these issues, Clark is averaging a very respectable 16.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists through the third of the season.  It’s taken her time for her to find a comfortable place, dealing with being the focus of the defense every night and gelling with the likes of Kelsey Mitchell, Aliyah Boston, and NaLyssa Smith. If Clark didn’t come in with the hype she did; her averages would be celebrated.
