With the upcoming Avengers: Endgame being the three-hour culmination of three phases across 23 films over ten years of Marvel films, it’s no doubt one of the most-anticipated films of all-time (fueled by the film’s early positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes). So much so that we fully expect the film to shatter box office records and hit an unprecedented $1 billion in it’s first opening weekend.

With so much rich history and characters and post-credit scenes to catch up on before Endgame, many super fans (and casual ones) are interested in the collected run times of all the movies. In other words: how long it would take to watch and relive all the MCU films leading up to their viewing of Avengers: Endgame — the expected final chapter.

How Long will it take to Watch all Marvel Movies?

We looked up all the Marvel Studio films and jammed them into a spreadsheet to add up the total hours and minutes of all the movies, so we could get an answer to how long a Marvel Marathon would subtract from your life (but add to the awesomeness). Take a look at our chart we created:

Including the upcoming Avengers: Endgame that comes out on April 26th, 2019, the entire duration of a Marvel movie marathon featuring the nearly two dozen films would be approximately 3,015 minutes (give or take a few seconds). Keep in mind that this marathon would only include movies from Marvel Studios, not Sony (Spider Man), Fox (X-Men or Deadpool), or any of their Netflix shows.

Those 3015 minutes means if you were to watch each one of the Marvel films back to back to back across the total running time of each one of the 23 Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, you would definitely have bed sores from sitting so long. What is also means is that the nearly 3000 minutes equates to a little over two consecutive days or 50.25 hours.

Want to watch all 23 movies leading up to Endgame? The good news is AMC and Cinemark are both stepping up and welcoming you into their home theaters for nearly 60 hours of Marvel movie madness. The only way to really sit in a theater for 60 hour Marvel marathon is to be decked out in some Endgame gear. Otherwise you’re just a poseur, right?

Not ready to invest in a full marathon? Well then maybe Alamo Drafthouse’s half-marathon of MCU films leading up to Inifinity War is more your speed. It’s still 12 movies and 28 hours so not exactly light work.

Watch the Marvel Movies the Right Way

If you choose to take on the Marvel Movie Marathon, then you might as well watch them in the perfect order — not chronologically or the film’s release date, but in the order that makes the most sense from the canonical MCU timeline perspective. Those 48 hours don’t include intermissions or bathroom breaks, but you could get paid too.
