Giannis Antetokounmpo dunks all over Kosta Koufos in early dunk of the year candidate

I don’t know what it is about him, but I’ve never really liked Kosta Koufos, so I took extreme joy in seeing Giannis Antetokounmpo completely demolish him with a violent dunk in the Milwaukee Bucks’ destruction of the Sacramento Kings. If you haven’t run across the highlight play yet, first take a long look at the image above before watching the video.

Ok, ready? Take a look at the video evidence yourself:

What makes the dunk extra special (for everyone else) is that it was one of those only-Giannis-with-his-crazy-reach slams where he extends his arms further out than any normal NBA player would and still somehow shoves the ball through the hoop.

After getting a screen at the top of the key, the Greek Freak accelerated inside the three where he raised his arm up Statue of Liberty style, took two steps, went up and came down all over Koufos, who fell backwards into the basketball support. If that wasn’t salt enough, Giannis also got the foul call and converted the three point play; giving the Bucks a 28 point lead. Ouchies all over.
