Timbewolves bring back 1990s throwback jerseys for upcoming NBA season

The Minnesota Timberwolves franchise announced that the team will bring back the cartooon-ish, pine-tree jerseys they wore from 1996-through 2008.

The team’s Classic Edition throwback uniforms will be featured in five games during the 2018-19 NBA season. The black uniforms with green tree lining worn by the likes of Kevin Garnett, Stephon MarburyWally Szczerbiak, Sam Mitchell, Doug West, and Sam Cassell will be worn by current Wolves Karl Anthony-Towns (hopefully), Anthony Wiggins and Jimmy Butler to celebrate the Minnesota’s 30 year anniversary of joining the NBA as an expansion team in 1988-89 season.

The new-old jerseys edition will make their debut on October 31 when Minnesota takes on the Utah Jazz at the Target Center. Click here to learn more about the Minnesota throwbacks at NBA.com.
