So, it’s almost that time. The 2024 Olympic Women’s basketball tournament takes place in Paris, France this summer. The games will occur between July 27th, and August 11th, 2024. We have the schedule and printable bracket for you to use to follow the action. The group stage (or preliminary rounds of play as FIBA likes to call it) will be played in Lille, France. The knock-out phase of the tournament shifts locations to be played at Bercy Arena located in Paris, France. The women’s teams are all set. No need for more qualifying tournaments like we talked about for the men for you. 12 teams are set and ready to go to Paris to fight it out for gold.
Which Teams Are Going To 2024 Paris Olympic Basketball Tournament?
So, we already know the 12 teams who have earned their way to the Paris Olympics. All of the teams have been assigned to one of three groups for the preliminary rounds of play. The teams who are going to Paris are: China, Serbia, Puerto Rico, Spain, France, Nigeria, Australia, Canada, Japan, Belgium, Germany, and the USA. None of the players on the Olympic 5v5 roster for Team USA are playing on the 3v3 team.
What are the Women’s Basketball Schedule Group Assignments for Paris?
The following groups were assigned by draw for the Olympics. Three groups of four teams for basketball this Olympics.

How is the Women’s Olympic Basketball Tournament Setup?
Within each of the three groups, the teams play each other round-robin style. Once complete, the top two teams move on to the next round of play. The two best third place teams from the three groups also earn spots. Then, we shift to single-elimination play. The losing teams in the semifinals face off to play each other for the bronze medal. The winning teams play for the gold medal (loser gets the silver).
