Russell Westbrook has had a monster start to the 2016-17 season tallying 116 points, 37 rebounds, and 35 assist in his first three games vs. Philadelphia, Phoenix and the Los Angeles Lakerss.

His first three games, Westbrook has tallied enough points, rebounds, and assists to cement himself on a list of players that have recorded 100 points, 30 rebounds and 30 assists in three consecutive games. Westbrook joins himself (2014-15), LeBron James (2007-08), Michael Jordan (1988-89) and Larry Bird (1989-90) as the only players to accumulate those numbers in the course of three games.

If you recall, Westbrook registered 18 triple-doubles last season placing him top-ten of all-time as far as most triple-doubles by one player in one NBA season.

So far, he’s got two triple-doubles in his first three games. Can he keep it up enough to surpass last season? With the burden of the Thunder’s success heavier on his shoulders this season, I wouldn’t bet against him.
