It seems like the only thing anyone who watches the NBA can talk about is the Golden State Warriors run at the best-ever regular season record of 72-10 set by the Michael Jordan led 1995-1996 Bulls. The Warriors are close, and the odds are favoring that they will beat the record.

To date; however, the Warriors have already made history during the 2015-16 NBA regular season with breaking more than 21 records already. So, while we all wait to see if Jordan’s regular season record will fall, the following are some of the accomplishments that the Warriors already have in the bag before it is time for the 2016 NBA Playoffs to begin. 21 Golden State Warriors Basketball Records in 2015-16

Golden State opened the season with four wins and a total margin of victory of 100 points. This beat the previous record held by the 1961-62 Boston Celtics at 99 points over the first four games of the season.

The Warriors won their 17th straight game and made 22 3-pointers during a win over the Phoenix Suns (135-116).

The Warriors winning streak to start the 2015-16 NBA Regular season officially ended at 24 games with a loss to the Bucks (108-95). This also put an end to the second-best overall NBA winning streak of 28 games that dated back to the 2014-15 season.

During the same game, Stephen Curry broke the single season three-point record of 286 (that he owned). He also made a total of 12 threes during the game that tied the single game NBA record held by Donyell Marshall and Kobe Bryant.

With a 121-106 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder at home, the Warriors tied the 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls record for longest regular season home game winning streak (44 games). Golden State’s streak dates back to the previous season.

By defeating the New Orleans Pelicans, the Warriors became the fastest team to reach 60 wins in a season with a 60-6 overall record.

During a 128-120 win over the Dallas Mavericks, Golden State passed the Houston Rockets record for most threes in a season. After this game, the Warrior’s count of threes made was at 933 and counting. The Rockets set the record during the 2014-15 NBA regular season.

With their win over the Utah Jazz, the Warriors set a franchise record for wins in a regular season. By pulling out the win in OT (103-96), they also set a franchise record for OT wins in a season. During this game, Draymond Green also set a record for being the first NBA player to score 1,000 points, get 500 rebounds, 500 assists, 100 steals, and 100 blocks in a single season.
