Wesley Matthews agrees terms with the Dallas Mavericks

Wesley Matthews draw interest from couple of teams in free agency despite the fact he’s an average shooting guard that can hit the three and his current form, recovering from a torn Achilles tendon.

The Mavericks lost Monta Ellis to the Indiana Pacers and they needed a quick substitute for their first leading scorer else than Dirk Nowitzki since the 2000 season. The other team in pursuit of Matthews? The Sacramento Kings and their $64 million four year deal offer, which was turned down by Wesley due to the current situation at the club.

The amount of the new contract Matthews will sign with Dallas depends from whether the team will manage to sign free agent DeAndre Jordan, but it will be anywhere between $12 to $15 millions per season.
