After a seven game epic series against the San Antonio Spurs, the Los Angeles Clippers had enough power to overcome the well rested Houston Rockets, even without Chris Paul, the star of the team. The Chicago Bulls looked like they caught fire and were pretty convincing on both ends of the floor against LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers.

This means that only the Golden State Warriors managed to keep their home court advantage in the second round of the playoffs after they beat the Memphis Grizzlies in game 1 of the series. The Washington Wizards also “stole” home court advantage from the best team on the east, the Atlanta Hawks.

Derrick Rose looked like him old self with 25 points and pair of 5 assists and rebounds, which resulted with Pau Gasol having 10 made shots from the field and a double double with 21 points and 10 rebounds, one point more than Jimmy Butler who filled the stat sheets with 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. LeBron James was flirting with the triple double with 19 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists; but it seems like the abscence of Kevin Love is just too much for these Cavs, who couldn’t handle the Bulls besides the 30 points from Kyrie Irving and 22 points from Iman Shumpert.

Blake Griffin was a monster against Dwight Howard and the Houston Rockets, finishing the game with a second straight triple double in the playoffs consisted out of 26 points, 13 assists and 14 rebounds. Matt Barnes, JJ Redick, Austin Rivers and Jamal Crawford all came up big time combining for 75 points, which was more than enough to battle James Harden and his 22 points. Josh Smith had a mediocre performance and together with Terrence Jones they were one of the biggest holes on the defensive end that couldn’t be filled with Dwight Howard’s 22 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks performance.
