James Harden wins an epic matchup against Russell Westbrook

Houston Rockets v Oklahoma City Thunder

James Harden and Russell Westbrook are the most serious candidates for the MVP trophy this year alongside Chris Paul, Lebron James and Steph Curry. One of the most important things why they are a part of this list is because they’ve managed to bring their teams deep into the playoff race without the help of their superstar partners in the likes of Dwight Howard and Kevin Durant respectively, who were injured for the greater part of the season.

Last night James Harden scored 41 points on 12 from 22 shooting, which was enough to overcame the ninth triple double after the All Star break from Russell Westbrook who had 40 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists. It will be hard for Oklahoma to advance in the playoffs without Serge Ibaka and an injured Kevin Durant, but till then it is a joy to watch Russell going to work on his opponents day in and day out.
