4 free basketball apps you should have on your phone’s home screen

KicksOnFire mobile appAs basketball fans, it can difficult to find a decent affordable (or free) app that has useful features and gives us information that we’re looking for. That’s why we created the following list to make your basketball-loving lives easier by providing a small selection of what we consider to be the best mobile basketball apps.

ESPN Score Centre

Starting off our list is ESPN’s Sport Centre. Though this isn’t just basketball, it is the most well-rounded app and that’s why we have it listed as the number one mobile app you should have on your home screen, ESPN Score Centre is not only free, but it offers live up-to-date scores of the latest games across different teams. Plus it also allows you to watch clips of the game through a unique live ‘look-ins’ feature as well as descriptive play-by-plays of events and summaries of games you might have missed.

-The head Content Editor of CasinoJuggler said this app was: “Great for anyone that doesn’t have the time to always watch the latest game. In the same way you can browse our site to find casino reviews, this provides brief reviews of the latest matches.”

Anyone that’s had the urge to go to a game knows how annoying it can be to have to find a computer to use, but thanks to StubHub, you can buy tickets in seconds using your mobile!

With this free app, you can check game schedules at venues, see seating arrangements and try to get courtside seats before anyone else does.

NBA Game Time

Similar to ESPN Score Centre, this free app is how you take your NBA action to the next level. You can get alerts on the latest scores in games, check live stats and you can even stream games live to your mobile if you have a subscription to League Pass. So you can still catch the game even if you’re not near a TV!

-Chief Editor of the Gadgeteer said of this app: “I found it to be really handy to kill time watching games on my lunch break or during my morning commute with this app.”

Do you always need to have the latest pair of Air Jordan’s or LeBron’s?

If you’re a sneakerhead then you’re going to love the KicksOnFire application (yes, no spaces). This fantastic free app keeps track of different brands of basketball footwear. With the option to follow tons of brands and set reminders for different shoe releases. Kicks on Fire is a must-have app for any basketball footwear enthusiast.

These are just a few of our favorite free basketball=related apps that we found to be great to use when combined with basketball games and the lifestyle of sports fans. There are of course plenty of other great basketball apps worth checking out, but these four are a great start for any basketball fan.
