Chris Paul wins the battle against Russell Westbrook

Los Angeles Clippers v Oklahoma City Thunder

Chris Paul is currently a man on a mission. He maybe sometimes doesn’t want to shoot that much, like the last game against the Minnesota Timberwolves when he had only 2 points from 6 shots (Spencer Hawes also took 6 shots from the floor), but when the going gets tough, Chris Paul gets it going.

He proved that he’s one of the most intelligent players in the league last night in his direct duel with Russell Westbrook, who has ridicilous numbers since Kevin Durant is off the court. Chris Paul recorded 33 Points, 9 Assists, 4 Rebounds, 2 Steals, 5 turnovers, 11/19 Shooting, 5/8 from three while managing to “limit” Russell Westbrook to 24 Points, 9 Rebounds, 7 Assists, 2 Steals, 10 turnovers, 5/14 from the floor and 3/6 from behind the arc.

Some advanced statistics show that Russell Westbrook had only 7 points on 2/8 shooting with 7 turnovers while Chris Paul was guarding him. It will be interesting to see how will the Clippers perform in the playoffs and will CP3 finally start to take more shots even when Blake Griffin is on the floor.
