This behavior didn’t went unnoticed and the Euroleague fined coach Obradovic with 30.000 euros. The team also received a 5.000 fine as well as Mirsad Turkcan, head of basketball operations at Fenerbahce, who had to cash in 10.000 euros. Here is the official statement by the Euroleague headquarters:

“Mr. Zeljko Obradovic, head coach of Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul has been sanctioned with a fine of 30,000€ for threatening by word or deed against the officiating crew during its home game against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan under article 26.1, paragraph (c) the Euroleague Basketball Disciplinary Code.”

It is really painful to see a team as Fenerbahce with one of the best squads on paper in this years Euroleague to get eliminated in the Top 16 phase, but this kind of behavior is just unacceptable.
