LeBron once again tops the NBA’s best-selling jerseys list for the 2021 season

The NBA All-Star Game has passed and that marks the regular season is passed it’s midway point. Great basketball stars faced each other in a friendly that generated excitement, not only in the gameplay but also in terms of NBA betting odds and advertising. Prior to the game, the NBA and the NBA’s Player’s Association (NBPA) put out press release in mid-January announcing the league’s official jersey sales numbers for the current season.

Well, the association didn’t give out exact numbers, but put out a list of the NBA players with the most popular jerseys according to sales results from the NBAstore.com. Once again LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State’s Stephen Curry topped the list based off jersey sales from the first half of the season dating from the beginning of the 2021-22 NBA season October 19th through January 12, 2022. You can see the list below:

The NBA's 15 Most Popular Jerseys

1  LeBron James Los Angeles Lakers
2  Stephen Curry Golden State Warriors
3  Giannis Antetokounmpo Milwaukee Bucks
4  Kevin Durant Brooklyn Nets
5  Luka Doncic Dallas Mavericks
6  Jayson Tatum Boston Celtics
7  Ja Morant Memphis Grizzlies
8  Trae Young Atlanta Hawks
9  Klay Thompson Golden State Warriors
10  Damian Lillard Portland Trail Blazers
11  Joel Embiid Philadelphia 76ers
12  Anthony Davis Los Angeles Lakers
13  Devin Booker Phoenix Suns
14  RJ Barrett New York Knicks
15  LaMelo Ball Charlotte Hornets

If you’ve been paying attention to NBA jersey sales over the last few years, you know that LeBron and Steph have alternated having the most-sold jersey in the league the last seven NBA seasons. Again we don’t know the exact units moved but unless sales dramatically change the second half of the season, we’ll see either Bron or Steph of them at the top again.

Following James and Curry was the Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo at No. 3, Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets had the fourth most-popular jersey with the Mav’s Luka Doncic filling out the top five. It didn’t come as any surprise that Ja Morant’s jersey was the seventh high-selling jersey considering all his jaw-dropping highlights and how well the Memphis Grizzlies have played this season.

Right behind Morant at No. 8 was another exciting young guard in Trae Young. Perhaps the most-intriguing jersey was the Golden State Warrior’s Klay Thompson jersey cracking the top ten at No.9. Thompson is a popular player no doubt, but he hadn’t played in nearly two full years. It just goes to show much #11 is loved and the reach of Golden State’s fandom. Other notable first-time appearances include the New York Knicks’ RJ Barrett  at No. 14 and Charlotte Hornets’ LaMelo Ball at No. 15 on the jersey list.
