The NBA’s Most Popular Jerseys of 2008
We were only able to locate NBA jersey sales data from January 2008, so that’s much earlier than the April report were used to seeing in previous years.
With these January 2008 numbers, Kevin Garnett overtook Kobe Bryant for the top spot for jersey sales. Even without the April numbers, it’s likely that a Boston Celtic was at or near the top as the Celtics ended up winning the 2008 NBA title.
Third on this best-selling NBA jerseys list was Allen Iverson in his new Denver Nuggets digs followed by the Cleveland Cavs’ LeBron James in fourth place. Rounding out the top five was the Phoenix Suns’ Steve Nash. Here’s the full list of the top 15 jerseys for the 2007-08 NBA season.

The data is for the 2007-08 NBA season only. For the NBA’s best-selling jerseys in NBA history, it’s tough to craft that list without having NBA sales data from every year. And we don’t have that. However, we looked at he numbers we do have, player popularity, looked at the teams and players that competed in the NBA Finals and came up with our list of the players with the best-selling jerseys ever.
