Parks delivers as Blackwater outlasts champ Ginebra in OT for back-to-back wins
BOBBY Ray Parks scored Blackwater’s final seven points in overtime to lift his team to a 108-107 win over defending champion Barangay Ginebra to stay unbeaten in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum
Parks had 28 points including baskets in the clutch as the Elite remained undefeated with a 2-0 win-loss card in a big follow-up to their victory over Meralco in the opener.
Parks hit a huge triple and a lay-up that gave Blackwater a 106-99 lead before staving off a late rally by Ginebra. Scottie Thompson missed a corner jumper in Ginebra’s final possession to claim the victory.
