    - PBA may compress its schedule in the third conference due to Cambodia SEAG

    - League will hold games on Christmas, either the semis or Finals

In theory they could start the governors cup while the commissioners cup is still on going, just have the teams who got eliminated in the elimination rd start their conference already. hough not sure if that is financially feasible

      • So the first PBA game today isn’t on free tv again while TV5 is showing an old 70s movie I’m pretty sure most people don’t give a sh*t about.

Forgetting until when their contract runs but the PBA should definitely switch TV partners already.
No live free tv telecast of the San Miguel vs TNT game as well.

        Frankly, I’m flabbergasted how
        @pbaconnect
is okay with its games not being on free tv.

Feels like the 80s in the Philippines where there were only delayed telecasts of NBA games.

        100% unequivocally unacceptable.

Bring the PBA back to IBC 13

        • PBA member MVP is helping to drive the league to the sewage by not airing games on free TV. The irony.

At least NorthPort can develop players. TerraFirma's a fucking cesspool.

They players and staff there deserve better. Can that better option feasibly enter the PBA, though?

A change that's more than welcome for me. This kind of scheduling should have been retained when they first implemented it during the bubble conference and should have been the staple for the previous 3 WC qualifying windows. And since PBA now really has the hard-on again to become the main protagonist for PHL basketball's participation in the international level, such schedule compression shouldn't become too much of a big issue to its board of govs. Invest invest din dapat para sa pagkakaroon ng magandang imahe ng liga sa madla.

As for the EASL champions' week, this kind of reminds me about Spanish La Liga's Super Cup competed on by 4 clubs (league and cup champs and runner ups). Better to have this next year than nothing at all. The H-A format can wait.

If you're going to consolidate all 3 MVP teams into 1, who's the final 12 plus 3 reserves?

Brandon Rosser Ganuelas is actually a good player, another sign that a MVP team has no idea how to maximize talent same with Taotuaa

They should allow multiple ownership of teams. Not many companies have the marketing budget to own and maintain a PBA team. MVP is doing this to get goodwill so Pinoys will gloss over that, his boss Salim, is violating constitution by having controlling ownership on companies in restricted industries. SMC is probably just a big company and can play with its marketing budget. Other companies have to scrounge for their PBA budget. Alaska, a pioneer, had to sell out when they were not profitable enough to justify their PBA budget to their new owners.

yes, multiple owners is the way. Somebody posted before that a conglomerate composed of owners from North Harbour and Burger King submitted a proposal to buy a franchise before but was thumbed down.

SG and PG are packed. Can you see this lineup beating SMB's Death 5 at its peak?

Multiple owners is the way if we can get a franchise setup. Also need some way for the PBA to become profitable instead of becoming just an advertising expense.
