You do know we our team always performs bad when we don't have enough prep time. People are always clamoring for more prep time and now they can have it with our cadet setup. But you'd rather just have Kai practice with them for a week or so then blame the team when he doesn't get many minutes or plays bad. Don't forget that he hasn't played in a real game for more than 1 year. That's just asking for trouble

The same could not be said about Kai who hasn't really trained with Gilas for a considerable amount of time.
Kai joining the team about 10 days prior to the 3rd window won't trigger much whining in the Phi basketball community if Kai had already spent about a month of training with Gilas before.

In terms of gilas as a team, it is better for the team but as for Kai as a player nothing compares training with martin.
Kai's world doesnt just revolve with gilas. He has bigger things to deal with than any phil player. Pba players arent even available most of the time even if their just with the PBA.Last edited by PeeZones; 05-28-2021, 05:49 AM.

Kai's world doesnt just revolve with Gilas. That will be the reality moving forward. Why cant all of gilas just deal with Kai on the background and stop doing unnecessary press releases? Does that even help? It just put Kai and his team in a bad light.

Agree and GILAS shouldn't just revolve around Kai. That's why they should have a backup just in case Kai isn't available. Those conditions aren't unreasonable. If anything they already made some exceptions for him nga. But obviously less than weeks of practice won't be enough.

Anything less and his performance and playing time might suffer. You'd want him to be at his best at these games even if it's just against Indonesia. He could just beg off if he doesn't feel like giving his 100% or has other plans IMO

funny it’s okay to pull out kai in the middle of preparation for ignite that cause kai’s spot with the team, but it’s not okay to pull out kai with no tournaments to play and content of just playing..
apply what you learn by playing competitive games not scrimmages where theirs Zero defense..Philippine Malditas to FIFA Womens World Cup 2023

Bottomline is, Kai needs actual games to display what he has learned from training

Bottomline is, Kai needs actual tournament games. Hindi puro training lang. You can be trained by the finest NBA coaches & trainers out there but without actual tournament games, the effectiveness of that training won't be fully utilized. Perhaps more than a year na. All he has been doing for the last one year or so were training & some scrimmages & pick-up or tune-up games with pros & college players in the US. Maboboro ang player pag puro training & practices lang ang gagawin nya.

I dont think there is pressure on Kai's camp to play bball. He has a full year ahead to play and he is guaranteed to play for 30plus games with NBL.
This is the time for Tab and SBP to blabber their mouths.lol I want them to say that they will accept Kai even if he is late. No parent would allow their son to travel thousand of miles in a very risky time just to not be guaranteed a slot in the final 12. So much for Tab demanding for a month and not guaranteeing Kai's slot if he would be late. Kai is current gilas best player. He didnt deliberately miss gilas practice. It is just that he has other IMPORTANT COMMITMENTS.Last edited by PeeZones; 05-28-2021, 09:03 AM.

I always want Kai to play for Gilas as long as it is not affecting his NBA dream. I just hate how SBP personnels are after their personal interest over the greater good of Kai's career. I hope he will play this window and for SBP to exclusively deal with Kai discreetly. He could make it in time but with lesser practice.
