I think number of games played is a better metric, simply because if you play more games, most likely you're better. This will screen off low-quality imports or those who play in ligang labas.

Have a separate Foreign player draft aside from the Rookie draft, let each PBA teams hire one Foreign player with the max salary similar to that of the Locals.. With the abundance of Quality Foreign players in UAAP and even in smaller league, PBA wont run out doreign willing to be naturalized.. Sa UAAP pa lang meron ka Kuoame, Duanga, Tchuente, Bright and even Mbala and Eze... Besides we are also preparing for the future as these mammoth African American guys can marry our local women... Di malayo magkaroon tayo ng Jr. Jumbo MBALA, Jr. Jumbo EZE and Jr. JUMBO KUOAME. Most of foreign imports actually stays here and settle already in Philippines like Sudan Daniels and Pippo NDou.. Besides these foreign players arw not competing slotsagaint local players as they are in different category all along, parang additional import lang... This is the practice in most domestic leagues actually...
This is actually a great idea!

        I also like the idea.

Who would challenge? Blatche? But probably he earns more in China than what he would earn here?
If na-naturalize si Brownlee, siguro that's the time i-challenge ito ng SMC. Go SMC!

This is a good idea but then again teams were afraid to allow Douhtit to play in the PBA, much more someone more competent.

It should not be limited to Naturalized players Douthit and Blatche but also to our Resident Foreign Students who played in our Collegiate leagues. Kuoame, Akhuete, Duaonga, Eke, Mbala can be candidates...

To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..

maraming mag rereklamo.Alam mo naman ang Pinoy, they'll say it is not a Filipino league anymore, whatever backward definition of Filipino is there in their heads. They'll think these foreigners will be here to get their jobs.If the Philippines will be more meritocratic then maybe we'll see naturalized players in the PBA.But now just look at the leagues in the Philippines imposing "handicaps", MPBL Fil-Ams should be less than 6'4 and PBA imports are less than 6'9.They all have to be short not to offset the quality of local players and then we will ask why we f*ck up in international competitions?

Stupid xenophobic arguments are not supported by evidence. The fact is most (if not all) of foreign players in college are above 6'7 and play center. Even the shorter ones (Ferdinand, Batricevic) played center or PF. xenophobes should first ask how many 6'7 and above players will these foreigners take away jobs from?

the main reason why our players are playing scared against tall guys because the basket organizers are scared of tall foreign born players/imports themselves.Bumababa tuloy yung quality ng competition
