Another year with Tab means another three-peat in the making. With Guiao's failure he should go back to Gilas.

Been there done that. I do not think Gilas is the proper team for coach Tab. He will not be able to instill his system to an always revolving roster given the short practice time. Batang Gilas is the proper forum as the players learn to play positionless basketball. Big problem, will other school release their players for Batang Gilas knowing coach Tab can influence their players where to play in college, ADMU.

the answer to that is clear. as long as he remains with ateneo, other schools will not allow their players to play for batang gilas. some things are certain and this is one of those.

In the Philippine Basketball Association, there is a ban on foreign coaches. It makes me wonder why the UAAP has not followed suit.

i dont know maybe i misuderstood his statement but surely we dont need this backward mentality. how can our basketball improve if we ban coaches that are good.

NU - Chatman, Minerva, Oczon? (not sure with this group)

Ateneo has Chiu, Credo, Berjay, and the returning Mallillin, among others. Jawuan White is now in Team B, while Duom Dawam has flown back to his native country but would like to return once he has his stuff figured out. But at this point, Kouame will likely be the resident foreign student and Dawam will probably get stuck in Team B.

I don't get that statement either. But I think he probably means that yes, foreign coaches should be banned, because they're seen as too good for college basketball (seeing as his commentary talks about how Tab is "OP")

Its that foreign coaches are taking the jobs of filipino coaches.Same reason why people right now complaining about Chinese workers.
For every Tab Baldwin theres a todd Purves.Foreign doesnt mean better he might know more have more exp but he might not know the politics and personalities here.
I also get the logic of bringing in foreign coaches etc and it’s benefits
