I still don't know what are the reasons behind the declination, but this is very bad for Portuguese basketball. Are they happy about conquering LPB and that's it?

I think that's a mistake of Benfica's managing. Benfica has a roster to be a competitive team at EuroCup or to be one of the favorites at EuroChallenge. I'm disappointed!!!

It's ridiculous! They won't have a team like that again in a near future to be able to compete in Europe. It's a total lack of ambition and vision.

The main reason I think they should go to EuroChalenge this year it's because next year Porto will have a good team there are no guaranties of winning the championship like this year.

So, if that's it, is one more reason to play at EuroChallenge. As they don't have the guarantee of play at 2010/2011 season, play when have the possibility (2009/2010)...

And when exactly will that be? In the past for sure. I really don't know what plans they have for the team, but assembling a team like this again won't be an easy task at all, let alone get it to be stronger

If they manage to renew Doliboa's and Raheim's' contract they will have the same team but like you I can't see the team improve.

I have been watching trough out the season the under-20 team, I think they have at least 2 good players that could get some minutes against the weaker opponents. Diogo Correia (PG) and Cristovão Cordeiro (SF/PF).

I hope Henrique Vieira sees the importance of developing young players.

Yes, in Plowden, Jacques and Lisboa era, Benfica was able to face-off powerhouses because basketball was very important for the club managers. I don't think it goes like that nowadays...
