    Default Eurobasket 2011, Lithuania

Yesterday there was a presentation of the official logo:

Logo has two main symbols of Lithuania - basket&ball and "Gediminaičių stulpai" (Gediminaičių pillars), about them from wikipedya:

Gediminaičių pillars - one of the major symbols of statehood, Lithuania, the Ruler of the governing symbol, used Gediminaičių Stanford governor. The first known use - 1397 years Vytauto stamp, then the authority of the flocks Vytautas marshed with this mark on the flags in Žalgiris battle. There are several Gediminaičių pillars of the theory, one theory links the brand with Gediminaičių was from roman Columna relatives, the other version - that evolved from the Russian columns of seals (similar characters to find Drohičino plombose).

(sorry, I just used google translator )

Didn't know about that symbol, thanks for the input re5pectas.
I like the symbol very much, but I think the Lith flag colours are missing.

Apparently this logo represents incorporated perspective basketball player sees the board and the hoop.
I can only guess that the author is sort of a midget.

    Ghem. Dunno.
If this movie, would be pointed to Lithuania's people, it would be ok.(though most of Liths knows, the history of our basketball and so on..) But still ok.
But when this movie represents, Lithuania to Europe, as basketball country..
    Ghem.
I really don't think, that some German or Spaniard, will sit and listen, to this monotorious and boring voice, for 10 minutes, about our basketball history, occupation, financial crisis or arenas and same swampy sh*t.
No effects, no surprise factor, no fasten..

Really don't understand the point of this movie.
    Nothing special.

What do you suggest? I think the movie is pretty good. Those who are interested will watch without big problems.

Wow, that's surely a group of death. The irony is that probably 2 strongest teams (Italy and Montenegro) were in 4th and 5th seeds...

I would expect Latvia to have the most fans in this Eurobasket of all teams, except the hosts, but sadly their chances of qualifying are quite slim...

I think Italy will advance. They have potential and now with smart coach they can make really interesting team, not to mention that they won't be missing leadership with Gallinari, Belinelli and Bargnani. The group is really hard though.

BTW, Eurobasket in Lithuania will be one of the best once again while this event will have tickets fot Olympics. For example, T. Parker already said that the most important is Eurobasket 2011, as well as Dirk.
