There was just accident, not a fight or smth

Here you can watch the game, it happened on ~1:26:30. At first sight nothing serious, I even didn't notice that there was a contact, Planinic even managed to run to defence, but then felt bad. To be fair, it scared me a bit, cause I thought that it smth with his heart, especially when he collapsed when he was took out of the court But looks like everything will be ok with him

I hope that Maccabi will play in this league. it's about the time for Maccabi to quit from the IBL once for ever.

EL and the new VTB good enough to Maccabi.

I think VTB is supposed to be new EL, or EL-east

Again this nonsense? Get it into your head once and for all-no team can quit its national league and still play at ULEB competitions-period.

According to zalgiris.lt, from next season, league will be organized as a championchip with regular season, final 4. There will be 8 teams: Žalgiris Kaunas, CSKA Moscow, Khimki Moscow region, Uniks Kazan, Azovmash Mariupol, Donetsk, VEF Riga. 8th team should become Asseco Prokom, Kalev Tallin or Rock Tartu.
System: will be 2 groups, with 4 teams in each group. Every team will play 6 games in regular season, then 2 best team from each groups will go to Final 4, which should be arranged in February.

Kalev's manager confirmed to Estonian media that they are interested in joining, however nothing is certain because they are still negotiating.
Getting a place in VTB League would most probably mean that they wouldn't participate in EuroChallenge (if thats still the name), which seems like a reasonable decision by the club's management.

Anyways, I'd be very surprised if an Estonian team would be chosen.

BC Kalev/Cramo got the final, 8th, place. The group draw will apparently take place in few weeks.

VTB league does a terrible job of promoting itself.

I mean there is no dedicated web site , let alone on-line PBP and statistics

Although the games' calendar can be found in the deeps of Russian Basketball Federation , but only in the Russian language section of the site

The competition is supposed to be international , but somehow English section isn't updated from the last year VTB Promo

The games start in 3 days :

14.10 VEF (Riga) - UNICS (Kazan)
15.10 BK Donetsk (Donetsk) - Chimki (Moscow)
15.10 CSKA (Moscow) - Zalgiris (Kaunas)
15.10 Kalev (Tallinn) - Azovmach (Mariupol)
