the main issue of our young bigs are jumping ability. This would really be an issue because once they get older they tend to gain more weight. But I think that jumping ability, explosiveness can be improved.

I remember some 27 years ago, the tallest players in the PBA were Dong Polistico & Romy Mamaril and they were only 6-foot-7. Right now, 6-foot-7/6-foot-8 kids are becoming more & more common in Philippine high schools & colleges. While not all of these "tall" kids would make it big in the PBA & Phi. basketball in general, those that would excel would someday make it to the national seniors team & at the same sense will improve the level of basketball in the Philippines. I call this as a "shotgun approach". Pag maraming bala ang pinakawalan, siguradong may tatama. Its like having 15 players standing 6-foot-9 and above, kahit 5 lang ang naging magaling, malaking bagay na for Phi. basketball."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. San Miguel will strongly oppose it. SMC can recruit a hundred 6-foot-9-and-above players for its teams by just "buying" the draft rights of the mercenary Kia team.
You're talking about "parity". Such word doesn't exist in the PBA vocabulary."A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game.
