Barcelona found the new brazilian jewel - Dec 10, 2010 (by Paulo Freire)
He has only 15 years of life, but Fernando Henrique has incredible 2.07 m tall and has already impressed. One of the possible future of the exponents of Brazilian basketball, he has already left the country and today plays for the Barcelona, and is prepares to tread a path such as Tiago Splitter did.

Vice-champion of the South American Under-15 with Brazil a few weeks ago, this kid born on Belo Horizonte was stopping at one of the top Spanish teams of basketball, believe, without even play for a Brazilian club.

'Last year I was in a training camp in Uberlandia and one staff from Spain watched me and invited me to a try-out. I went with my mother and furtunually I pass,' Fernando recalls.

Besides the natural resemblance of Tiago Splitter, the 15 years old boy also is constantly compared to Anderson Varejao, who was the Barcelona center before moving to the NBA.

Vanderlei Mazzuchini, director of men's Brazilian N.T. teams of the CBB, praised the stance that Fernando has. 'He had a very nice atitute, because he has the desire to play for Brazilian national team. The club refused to pay his airplane ticket to Brazil and we said that it would be OK because we saw his interest in playing for the national team. We want this ideology. ' said Vanderlei.
