They do know they can get a yellow card for that, right?

I always imagine Gabe Norwood or Arwind Santos as a goalkeeper, while calvin and pingris are perfect for CB, Scottie as a box to box midfielder , Cj Perez as a winger, Castro as a attacking midfielder or a false 9, idk if thirdy will be a good striker, imagine sol mercado as DM while alapag and tenorio as maestros ala modric
Calvin as our CB? Yeah, we'll have to play with 10 men once in a while, as he might be liable for a few reds. Hahahahahaha.

we can compare Calvin to Pepe or Ramos, his built is good for a CB that is why i'm thinking about him as one, filipino version of Sergio Ramos

Theatrics and physicality aside, Calvin with his leaping ability can also be a great finisher through headers on set pieces or corner, just like Ramos.

Theatrics and physicality are also similarities between the two. Ramos is the record holder for cards, especially reds, and has had a reputation for flopping. Hahahahahaha.

I hope that Philippines and Japan will not copy the same what Qatar's situation in recent FIFA WC... With the way Qatar plays, They didn't deserve to play in this stage (They're like Indonesia last FIBA Asia cup, they only bought that spot, not earned)... Qatar only qualified because they bought that spot.. They didn't earned it... For PHL and JPN, Hoping for atleast competitive matches at their home turf next year... Prove that they earned that spot, Not only by bought.... Qatar faced probably the team that should they beat (Ecuador)... But they didn't....
They thought Ecuador is easy pickings and they just need to beat the other non-European team in their group, Senegal. They underestimated that these countries live and bleed football 24/7. There were rumours that the Ecuadorians were offered money to deliberately lose to Qatar, but they didnt count the fact that the Ecuadorians and all other teams here cannot be bought.

Tunisia dealt France their first loss. 1-0, but Tunisia wont progress. Aussies and the French advance.

AFC teams are simply far behind in skill level compared to CONMEBOL and CAF teams. Remember Ecuador is in the same confederation as Brazil and Argentina so they really need to fight for their place with Chile, Colombia, Uruguay, and Paraguay all formidable foes for that last two spot. In last year’s Arab Cup, you see a glaring difference between North African and Gulf Arab teams in terms of skill and Physique. It shows how AFC teams are really at a disadvantage because the confederation is considered the weakest.

AFC is about equal to CONCACAF, yeah USA and MEX are strong, but all others suck, Canada included. I think Iran, Japan and Korea ( fine, let's include the Aussies ) have 50/50 chance to beat the top 3 of North America and Caribbean nations

Messi got his PK blocked by Polish goalie. In fact, the goalie was sensational in the 1st half as he stopped 10 or 11 Argentinian shots.

Argentina got its breakthrough goal on the first few minutes on the 2nd half. And Argentina kept pressure until they eventually scored the 2nd goal

Hence the big European ballclub's preference to recruit players from countries associated with CONMEBOL and CAF region. Although AFC countries like SK, JPN, AUS, IRN, etc. also produce world-class footballing talents, it's not at the same rate as countries like BRA, ARG, URU, NGA, SEN, GHA, just to give some examples. I mean, when I looked at the WC rosters to know where players ply their trade professionally, I was genuinely surprised to find out that all the players called up for SEN for WC are mostly in the top 5 Euro leagues.
