Trying to figure out how to construct my team made me realize how much I miss the old fantasy game. Even without the nice UI, when it was just a table on a screen the game was meant to be played by people that were committed. The game rewarded knowledge, persistence, and strategy.
Now it has morphed into something that resembles gambling a lot and it's not very interesting. The value differentials between 2 games can be so big that it's impossible to invest kinda "long term". The only thing that keeps this from straight gambling is the 3 changes rule.
Anyway, I don't get why the game had to change like this. I wonder if it brought more players by being much "user friendly".
