After a slow start the US put together a 34-5 run (from 20-21 to 54-26) and blew away Slovenia 88-55. Probably the best 10 minutes they have played over the last two years. Slovenian star Vide was held to 6-26 from the field with 7 turnovers.

Otherwise a rough day for the Americas teams. Canada crushed by France.

Lithuania looked gassed tonight, but still beat NZ 61:48. Moves forward to 4finals. Hate and love relationships regarding main PG Kepezinskas Dude's always at Tragic Bronson alert. 7TOs, but 4 steals 11eff. LTU has use their day off smartly and to come back with better motor.
LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

      Jokubaitis, Marciulionis, Laurencikas
      Indrusaitis, Brazdeikis, Rubstavicius
      Buzelis, Lelevicius
      Murauskas, Sirvydis
      Tubelis, Krivas

That's my natural state against any of our PG unless his name is Šarūnas.

Vasiliauskas fan I assume Seriously, Jokubaitis didn't turn the ball over in EL all season long basically.

There was time when I actually supported him big time. If only he could work on his body, I think, he could have had a way better career. Yet, just like many players (e.g., Lukošiūnas) he failed to realise the importance of the physicality in this game.

Spain with a late rally to beat Australia 70-68 after trailing almost the entire game. Australian center who had been having a great tournament was outplayed by the Spanish bigs.

US with an excellent performance against Serbia, forcing an uptempo game from the start and shooting really well. The two youngest players on the team, Peat and Flagg, are both having strong tournaments.

Why did Spanish supporters cheer for American big center who came from the bench at the end of semifinal game? What is the story?

I think it's just because he's a tall skinny benchwarmer with goggles who looks funny compared to the rest of the US team. Seems a little lost on the court. They were cheering for him in earlier games too.

US works hard for a 79-67 win over Spain in the final. Defensive pressure in the third quarter turned the game around. Emotions boiling over a little at the end of the game. Cooper Flagg with 17 rebounds 8 steals 4 blocks and if he were 11 days younger he'd be eligible for the next U17 WC. Fears really stepped up in the second half as well. Koa Peat who is eligible for the next U17 WC didn't have a great game today but made the all-tournament team. Almansa won the MVP.

Understandably that the emotions got some of the players. This was some sort of robbery, at this international stage in a final rarely seen. We have at least 4 clear blocking fouls that were called as charge, 3 walking calls that were never ever walks, they called Castillo in the first half with what at the side or the walk on Holland in the 4th, 2 times the refs awarded spain the ball that got touched by spain, calling Koat his 5th and every time under spains basket was open season, calling an unsportsmanlike without no reason whatsoever. I mean come on this was some shit and then being angry for not stealing the win they award the mvp as a sort of compensation. Wow.
