I agree! but i think Olsen's Iso plays are so predictable and sometimes players look lost on the court that resulted into hurried or desperate shots. FEU needs a new direction.

In Olsen's 6 years as FEU coach, either their records are 8-6 or 7-7... 3rd or 4th place... Compared to Nash Racela's
1st or 2nd place with a championship as the cherry on top.

Different era . Tab came in and UP started spending . Harder to recruit against that

The question however is: who replace Olsen?

might as well give Johnny A his chance. he has been asst coach for some time now. i dont know how good he is at recruiting but maybe they can get an asst to him who will focus on that.

Coach Bal in UST got Coach Ascue. if im not mistaken, he was Coach Aric's asst before and currently one of the heads of Tumakbo. So recruitmentwise, he has a pipeline to the US. I dont know how he will recruit in the Philippines. I hope he gets goes Coach Jino. he handles both Tiger Cubs and the varisty of St Claire. Coach Jino also connected with some of Coach Ayo's "sources".

Disagree with the writer that Ateneo would be projected to not be in the final four. They were arguably one of the more consistent teams, sitting comfortably at the #3 spot for the most part.

This got me thinking though: what if Coach Tab handled FEU?

The real question is, will FEU spend and find a good coach with real system? Or why not re-hire Koy Banal instead? He was applying for the UE job before they chose Jack Santiago.

Johnny Abarrientos is another good candidate. George Gallent, a former Tamaraw can also be considered.

Recruitment should also be the main focus, traditionally FEU has a bunch of tall and lanky players. Arwind Santos, RJ Rizada Jeff Chan among others. Nowadays they focus on recruiting guards but cannot seem to find strong and talented big men.

better to get a coach first. Some players do consider who the coach is of the school they will go to. not THE only reason, but it is specially to players who will move far from home for the first time.

Ronald magtulis is an asst of Coach Bal currently if IIRC. so you guys might want him as he is a defensive specialist (when he was a player) and might get some potential fil-for recruits as well. i am not familiar with former Tams in the Cebu hoops scene, but that is a good spot for recruitment if you have contacts there already. or get an asst who does.

Jerom Lastimosa needs to secure that BLeague contract also, so let's see.

Honestly that'll be an insult to Adamson if Coach Tab doesn't take them seriously today because Ateneo already has twice-to-beat advantage.

In the long run, however, Coach Tab doesn't have anything to prove at this point. We shall see at the end of this season if this is now a "post-Tab" era in the UAAP (i.e. UP and Adamson and NU now respectable powerhouses) or if other schools still have to consider Ateneo as a threat

Nelle carry job but the guy is getting pissed that his teammates dont shot every time he passes even though that was the right play. He's hunting for assists lol.

BTW, 3 starters are out for DLSU. Something the narrative don't talk about enough when assessing DLSU's season: injuries.

Put the politics aside and this idiot Manuel doesn't get into any rotation. The man can't do anything positive. Holy s*t. Ice is the better option and he should be in the game. Heck Galman is the best option and hes not even in the line up.
