It was our first participation in the asian tournaments, also Ahmad Ozeir the Center of the lebanese youth team in that time, has defended Yao Ming and he could stopped him under the basket which it ended successfuly by win for Lebanon.

Why you created this tread? Is China is so important? This year China sucked at Asia Championship 2007. China sucked all the time and still sucks. They have only bunch of super mega giant 8 foot prospects who someday in 8000 years will be POWER of THE WORLD BASKETBALL. In other words they just can talk, but not play.

your attitude sometimes surprises me. Is it really necessary to bash everyone around, instead of having civilized discussion ? didnt China bring team B to the championship ? and the thread is not about China vs World, but Asia vs China. China is really investing a lot in basketball development and youth systems. I am sure we will not have to wait for 8000 years for them to be strong in international competitions.

That's got to be more than that even in FIBA events, just off the bat

    China 75-91 South Korea (2007 World U19)
    China 77-79 Japan (1999 World U19)
    aim low, score high

This thread is about China and Asia... China maybe not as good as European countries or the South American countries or the Team USA but in Asian perspective... they're the best ballers in the biggest continent on this planet.... China dominated Asian basketball for 20 years or more.... The list of losses listed by Mr. King is nothing compare to the number of wins achieve by the Chinese national team against other Asian countries... thats why the thread was created in the Asian Leagues and Players section... not in EUROPE or in the NBA.... 8000 years from now.... Yao Ming is shorter than a typical point guard by that time...

china really does have a good national team program. that makes them consistent and hard to beat in asian region.

the present u16 national team of china would be dominant for many years to come.

The Philippines also beat China in a pocket tournament held in Manila before the 2007 FIBA Asia Championship. For the record, China sent its "B" team to the 2007 FIBA-Asia Championship as the country has been given an automatic berth to the 2008 Beijing Olympics being the host nation. So there's no Yao Ming, Wang Zhizhi or Yi Jianlian. Instead, we saw their lesser-known counterparts Yang Ming, Wang Bo and Yi Li.
