I guess today is just one of those days when none of your shots want to go in. Worse than the Dominican Republic game.

I think DR plays more physical than this Egypt team. We're just not used to Egypt's pressure defense.

Dwight playing PG. Where's Matt? Matt doesn't get rattled easily.

Egypt's outside shooting is now clicking unlike the first half. We f8cked!

Its just reality sets in for the guys...they are much better than this but will this make SBP think about nt composition next year.. Defeating Egypt is definitely way past Gilas to do's in 2023..

The FT is the third-easiest shot in the game. Come on.

The teardrop/hookshot of Egypt's bigs is money. Our bigs should learn to shoot like that ala Marjanovic. They make it look so easy but we can't do it.

Egypt really scouted Dwight and shut him down. UAAP teams should watch this game. LOL.

Commend ange but this is group effort, may katuwang ka na Kai o AJ Edu if ganitong big boy basketball ang labanan...as ugly as it is, this game can be salvage and both team can still get lucky and steal the game in the end

Damn they really let us down when you shoot 5-18 from free throws, even ben Simmons percentage is better than that. Come on now guys.

Exactly! Our current point guard rotation sucks. Too small and too limited in terms of real point guard skills. On the positive note we need this kind of drubbing to expose the weaknesses that other teams can take advantage of.

I think we could still add some veteran leadership to this team regardless of position in 2023 maybe jason castro is my best bet plus one of robert bolick if we can get him or keifer ravena.

Tab already made it clear that "it's gonna be painful before it gets productive", I hope SBP gets the message, there's absolutely no cohesion with the team right now, the shooting percentage are as bad as they can get but we gotta look at the upsides. Navarro is a devent playmaking forward, Ravena is more than capable of being a combo guard, Balti can still score in the paint. We really need to dislodge our 2 fun sized *shooting guards though, SJ and RJ are not point guards at all and their size will do them no good in their positions.

Confirmed. SJ and RJ are great for 3x3 bball.

Egypt plays an unelegant, ugly, almost unlearned style that messes up Gilas' rhythm.

we're finally getting a rhythm by playing an almost same ugly style like them.

They had some really nice open sets, they still are pretty cohesive in fairness but shooting poorly from free throws is a issue on the players not on cohesion or the coaching staff.

Our poor free throw shooting (7-25 so far) basically gave Egypt free reign to be extra aggressive on defense all game long

Same thoughts bro. He can be a combo guard at least. We badly need Kiefer and a seasoned Panopio come 2023.

A strong PBA team can beat this Egypt team.

Man the stats are as ugly as they get. 3-22 from downtown, 9-27 from the line, 13 assists, 14 turnovers.

Egypt doubles a LOT but we can't find the open man. Or the open man can't knock down the open shot.

Positive sides for this game is that there is no fucking way we are gonna shoot like this ever again. As ugly as this game is, if we at least hit 11-13 more fts this would easily be a tied or a 2 point lead.
