Ravena is a hard fit. He is a good defender and finisher in the paint. But he is almost a zero shooting threat from outside. And he has a tendency to go under screens resulting in an open 3.

We have to get used with Kai's unavailability besides the main competition in the world cup, the need to have a strong body in the paint makes it very impractical to replace Ange with Clarkson come 2023. We really need another defensive minded big.

this is the problem when players are afraid to go out of the system from time to time. In chot's time, open layups through drives were not taken because the players were focused on passing to the teammates for the 3 when the basket was right in front of them. With tab, they feel the need to go through the motion of the system when a simple drive could have given them the basket. Tab's team lack creativity which is of course the forte of Romeo and Calvin. A Romeo who is ingrained in the system of Tab but given enough leeway to create from time to time will be deadly.

We just lost twice to Jordan and you think its the wrong move to replace Ange with the NBA sixth man of the year?

Geo has shown flashes that he can be a great defensive big but I hope we can expand the pool to accommodate more bigs. We need all the talent that we can get.

Essentially the same problem as Tim Cone.

No need to choose between them, I truly believe that either one of them will be granted local status in 2023.

Di naman siya irereplace. Siya yun magiging np dapat natin para payagan maglaro si clarkson (one time big time as local) sa 2023..Meaning di pwede si brownlee di pwede si mcullough di pwede nba olayer and baka di rjn pwedenv iba pang ineligible..

i like Tamayo's bravery. Unfortunately, his body is still not mature enough to pound it inside against international veteran bigs. RDO should really train Carl to make him reach his potential which is a 6'7" RDO.

Dwight efficiency at PG is so low at this point, if we want to maximize him as a scorer he has to play WITH a PG and NOT as as PG. again, target is 2023.my assessment is: if only Tamayo made more shots, then maybe we could have been close or even win it.

also, i'd rather take chemistry than an all-star hugot PBA style. the goal is still 2023.
Id replace Tamayo with Balti and replace Thirdy with a PG. If everyone is available Id go Clarkson/Dwight/Wright/Baltazar/Kai as our best five for 2023. This is assuming Japeth will feel his age come 2023 and Ange as an NP.

2015. You had the brains of tab and the talents of romeo and castro. Result is they went all the way to the finals. And that didnt even take a year for pro players to master

Hopefully but I replied to a guy who thinks that Ange is better than the NBA sixth man as an NP.

We have a Lopez and Paras who can add some athleticism and size at the sg/sf position, though I'm not saying they're nba level talents, there aren't much choices to fill the void that Kouame will leave, you'll pretty much be banking on the perfect development of Kai and Chiu and pray to god that Edu's knees will not blow out again.

this is just a practice tourney, it's not like d world cup qualifiers na we need to win pero talo 3 out of 4 kaya nirecall si blatche in lieu of CS and stanley.

tagal pa ng 2023, angelo is still developing and clarkson could regress two years from now. just look at d previous 6th man of d year prior to clarkson, minsan bangko at unplayable kaya nag-opt in nalang sa MLE that pays him a measly 9million dollar a season.

that being said, kung nba player na si kai that time, we can roll with clarkson as sg sa world cup.2022 asian games muna c kouame or maybe he and clarkson can both play there.

If the PBA just gave tab better players and more time we would have probably played in the Olympics in 2016. Tab's system in 2015 was dumbed down to accommodate for the lack of preparation. Arguably if he had his 2016 OQT roster we would have Gold in 2015. We really missed Size in 2015, imagine having Grandpa Asi jeez.

Clarkson is gonna be the primary ball handler for Gilas. His talent will be wasted otherwise. Instead of betting on Kai, your betting on a 16 yr old and a guy that has failed in D1.
