The PBA has no one to blame but themselves. Hugot system national team, employment disrimination, lack of flexibility, farm teams making most of the # of teams...

Tama ba understanding ko, they will allow someone to be tagged as asian import given that he is tagged as local in fiba competitions.. ( ie Jgdl and Ray Parks)

        (2) Handling of multiple nationalities: Only when all nationalities fall under the target countries of the preceding paragraph. However, even if you have both nationalities that fall under the target country of the preceding paragraph and nationalities that do not fall under the preceding paragraph, if you have a track record of being registered by FIBA as a representative player (regardless of category) of the target country of the preceding paragraph, you will be an Asian special quota player. Accept registration as. This does not apply if the FIBA registration category is a naturalized player quota. * Revised the deficit part

Looks like it. AS long as the preceding paragraph it was referring says " the player was categorized as a local in FIBA competitions". So its looks like the likes of:

        RayRay Parks
        Kobe Paras
        The GDLS
        Dwight Ramos
        Dalph Panopio
        AJ Edu

Are all eligible to play in the B League

The question is, how this will be applied to the proposed East Asia Super League? Will they allow asian imports to this elite asian teams the alvarks, chiba jets, the Guandong Southern Tigers(Shaqs favorite cba team), the Liaoning flying leopards, the Ginebras and SMB's.. wag naman sana switzerland ang comparison, Serbia, the consensus top 2 basketball country in the world (sorry spain if you cant beat us, your just as good as a caretaker team) elite players plays in either euro league and nba, their local domestic league serves as developmental league before they seek greener pasture to euroleague teams or the nba..
To becomes Asia's Best, we need to compete against the World's Best..

Yeah. Our Best Local Players to Overseas. Make that Happen.

Us Ncaa, NBL NZ, NBL Australia, Japan B League, maybe Korean League someday, Maybe Europe League someday. These are a lot of leagues.

As for pba, they can save the talent of their players if they put no limit and make process easy to the ineligible Filipino players in tge world.

The Sage Tolentino (if he failed), The hepa, The David, The QMB of the worlds. Even the Brandon Rosser, Taylor Stratham of the world.

Look, papayagan din magalaro yang mga yan sa pba, if our best eligible local players dont go to pba anymore

Well they're wasting their prime years and turning them away by by amending their strict rules. There's a ton of talented Fil foreigners who didn't get to apply for the draft this yeat because of that

I think this is the more feasible projection on Geo Chiu.

About the idea of projecting Chiu to be some sort of a Mick Penisi type of a big, I ask, has Chiu exhibited or displayed decent 3-pt shooting playing for Ateneo high school & college basketball? I haven't even seen Chiu known down some medium range jumpers.

This is not to say that Chiu can't be molded into some sort of a Penisi type of a big man, I'm just pointing out that before we entertain the thought of developing Chiu into that type of player, he should have exhibited some decent shooting even at mid-range (15 to 18 feet jumpers) to start with. I mean not everyone can develop decent 3-pt shooting, specially among big men. I think the main reason why Junmar Fajardo has hardly attempted a 3-pt shot in an actual game is that, he has tried doing it during practices/scrimmages but just can't connect it in a respectable degree.
"A king may move a man, a father may claim a son, but that man can also move himself, and only then does that man truly begin his own game. Remember that howsoever you are played or by whom, your soul is in your keeping alone, even though those who presume to play you be kings or men of power, when you stand before God, you cannot say, 'But I was told by others to do thus,' or that virtue was not convenient at the time. This will not suffice." - King Baldwin IV

He's more suited to be a garbage man type backup big like Varejao or Lopez but I won't put it past Tab to let him develop a jumper. He did wonders for Isaac Go.

Well, lets wait & see. Chiu is just 20 so he has plenty of room for improvement.

Again I'm not saying Chiu can't be develop into an Isaac Go or Penisi type of a big man. What I'm saying is, judging from Chiu's current skill-set & qualities, he's more suited to an Alvin Teng or a maybe a Jerry Codinera type of a big man.

Did Isaac Go exhibit decent outside shooting prior to his stint with Ateneo under coach Tab or Go just developed such shooting while playing under coachTab?

Have you seen Fajardo shooting 3s? He has a high percentage. But with gangly 6'3 Santos as PF I dont see that happening. Its not about skill with Fajardo its the coaches and the system that prevented him from shooting outside. Cant blame them since they want to win all the AFCs but pretty narrow minded knowing their guy needs it when he competes internationally.
