An end of an era that is.
Respect to both. So many tournaments watching in despair how on earth will anyone stop Spain and Gasol brothers were the main reason for that.Originally posted by Jon_KoncakThat's funny shit.I cant believe there are sports fans thinking like it.It's like Federer losing to random Japanese player in round 1 of French Open but tournament director stepping in and saying "hey it was a fluke win who wants to watch a random Japanese guy in next round,Federer qualifies"

It took so long that now when Pau and his brother retired, I'm still suspicious whenever this is the end Hardly ever seen domination. In 2001 Pau was dropping 17.3/9,7 as a rookie, 20 years ago. 11 medal collections. 4 titles. We have to say that with Spanish golden generation the monopoly of FIBA Europe ends as well. Spain simply dominated last couple of decades. Now there's no such talented team. Doncic doesn't have such quality team around him. Now it's pretty open, even though fully packed Serbia has pretty obvious edge as most talented NT and they about to add couple of very interesting prospects to the puzzle, but nevertheless I doubt we'll ever again face such domination as we witnessed with Pau and Co. Maybe Victor Wembanyama phenomenon may be something special, as France also have great guards in Maledon and Hayes coming. I doubt however that someone will have as deep and as talented roster as Spanish golden generation had in their best years.LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:
Jokubaitis, Marciulionis, Laurencikas
Indrusaitis, Brazdeikis, Rubstavicius
Buzelis, Lelevicius
Murauskas, Sirvydis
Tubelis, Krivas

I'm especially intrigued by adding one of those 3 pg's i mentioned alongside Luka.
It's been a while since we had as talented youngsters on the perimeter...Originally posted by Jon_KoncakThat's funny shit.I cant believe there are sports fans thinking like it.It's like Federer losing to random Japanese player in round 1 of French Open but tournament director stepping in and saying "hey it was a fluke win who wants to watch a random Japanese guy in next round,Federer qualifies"

Šiško, Samar at PG, even Duščak maybee, or Klavzar even if i'm not that much of a fan, Glas at SG, Ščuka could develop into a much upgraded Čančar, Ciani at C, as well as some others from 99-04 class.
