The Philippines is purely mismanaged with poor governance .. the outcomes and general welbeing of the population speaks for itself.
Capitalism definitley should be credited for a lot of the worlds gains, but it is also has a lot to answer for. at the end it's the right balance and extent of things, it's not one or the other. but definitly the Philippines is in the other extreme to its detriment

So everyone here, will agree on one or two things, poorly run, corruption and protectionism.Interestingly Indonesia, where civil servants admit to corruption, manage to spend big ticket items in their defense without a politician taking money and using it for their political career.Going to six years with this administration and the only military contract that can be alluded to them is the missile attack craft from Israel, everything else was the previous admin but they hijacked it to make it their own.Four years before covid19 virus,no MRF,2 under armed small frigates,so small that the incoming corvettes will be larger and more armed.

    • I remember news articles during the previous admin criticizing these weapons purchases as being way overpriced but the generals who were part of the procurements are unfazed because they're retiring anyway (they need kickbacks) and the payments will be shouldered by the next admin.

corruption and protectionism would be present in any goverment in my opinion. its the extent of it that really sets one country apart from the others.
I dont know how long Indonesian politicians can stay in power. if they can stay for a long time, then they can stick with their advocacies and be corrupt on certain areas instead. I do not condone corruption, but as I said, i believe there is corruption in one form or another in all goverment.

        • A bit OT but I’m seeing some Doug McDermott in our Balti. I won’t be surprised if he was the player Tab wanted our 6’7-6’8 guys to emulate when playing as SFs.

            • OT. again he he
To me the Spurs best 5 to end games with existing players signed are

              Dejonte
              White
              Keldon
              Mcdermott
              Young

now if they trade DJ and Young and Walker which for Simmons

I would put Ben and Landale in the 5 replacing dj and Young

nah, perhaps you're talking about their catch & shoot ability which mcdermott has been reduced to these days. in his prime or at least when he was balti's age he was a complete offensive player, can score from literally anywhere and with great handles and athleticism to boot. defensively though balti might be better lol

Much of that is on the Pacers though.

McBuckets is more than just McBuckets. Hoping the Spurs can restore his old self.

This is the type of SF that seems plausible for our new generation of 6'7-6'8 guys.

Honestly don't see us producing a guy like Jayson Tatum. It's too high of a bar to achieve. Great if we do though.

                  • under the current pool, who do you think will take the chris goulding role (not all those trash talking and flopping) where he'll be inserted in final 2 minutes of the qtr and first 2-3 minutes of the following qtr hit 2-3 3 pointers and sit?

Who are our best shooters again? Does it have to be a wing?

For those who have recently played, how about Jordan Heading? I'm not too sure about Goulding's defense. I haven't seen him play that much, but for shooting it should be Heading.

He has Marcio’s range but needs more FIBA games to determine his worth.

Other than shoot, he doesn’t have another reliable ability.

Yeah, I agree, but SK is asking for players from the current pool/recent players that could model Goulding. Heading has shown that he is the most promising shooter from the OQT and the King's Cup, but yes, he also had his inconsistencies in the ACQ games.

We have a good amount of options at the SG position. From Dwight, Wright, Parks, Tuffin and etc.

I am not sure how Dwight can be groomed for PG now, especially since he is now playing overseas, unless that will be his position in the B league, which is unlikely.
