The PBA and these major corporation don't give a sh!t about player development or Philippine basketball as a whole. They just want to take advantage of these up and coming players and use them to market their product. Ya'll know who I'm talking about.

The really good ones will be having a long international career in a foreign league, returning only when they are past their primes.
Who cares about the PBA? Who cares what's good for them? They don't give a flying f#ck about the National team so why would we care for them?

    >because they want to hone their craft to be ready for the PBA
Lmao you're talking like the PBA is some kind of premier league in the world. Nahh, it's a low level competition, yes they maybe have dozen of quality players playing there, but the way basketball is being played is decade old behind. Whenever I watch PBA I feel like I'm still stuck in early 2000s that's how bad it is.

Correction ,what do you call Lassiter, Stan Hard, Alapag, Dillinger, Josh Munzon, etc, didn't they play abroad ?

The domestic league here has failed. If even the strict NBA allows 19 year olds to play and revamps its gleague. The PBA has no excuse.

All the young Pinoy prospects if they have serious hoop dreams are going to have to follow the football/soccer route of going to another domestic league to gain skills or significant exposure to better talent.

The PBA will always be the home of 26 year old rookies and 6'3 Centers

    From Carlo Pamintuan: https://twitter.com/carlo_pamintuan/...17236479533059

Kouame, Sotto, Navarro, Baltazar, and Belangel starting for Gilas Pilipinas

Looks like Tab wants to experiment with a big lineup against China.

2FTs from Kouame. Gilas builds a 39-29 lead. Solid defense and offensive rebounding from the team. |

So Kai really just struggled vs big bodied import. Or maybe it's because he has longer practice with Gilas now. Maybe they are finding him now.
