    Default Euroleague 21/22

EL is down to last two teams for 21/22. ABA champ and a wild card. Seems the best bet is Zenit for the wild card. Monaco and Unics clinched the spots from Eurocup. Like others on the discussion in the Eurocup thread I thought Bologna was a shoe in for EL next season, but apparently not.

Excellent signings of zvezda today. Stefan Jovic and Nikola Ivanovic. Fantastic duo at point guard position. I couldn't even dream in the morning that this will happen even there were rumours about both.

    Really really satisfying additions. Fantastic.

Congratulations! You probably know that those two are my favorite players.

I am a little bit dissapointed that Kokoskov as Serbian NT coach did nothing about Jovic and Lucic. It's known that Djodjevic used his position to bring players in clubs he coached. I see nothing negative about that. It's natural to bring players you know and whom you trust.

Thank you, brother. We deserved it after this difficult year. Really appreciate it.

Zvezda is targeting Avramovic, too which would be bonus. There are even Bjelica and Nedovic rumours. It's obvious that we try to make a competitive team in the early stages of summer.

    You're welcome

It's a little bit surprise because as I follow last seasons you was always late on the market

I'm happy for you. Always adds a lot to the Euroleague to see a strong Zvezda.

jovic is risky buy, while ivanovic is solid addition, but there is no el teams that would buy him anyway..
on the other hand, loyd is gone(but he anyway wasnt realistic to stay), but from 3 players that was in category for must stay, walden is gone, while nnoko is also very close to go(bayern)..
so we should wait to see further action, and then talk abou competitivity..

Was this Petrusev's first prep game with Efes? I was looking for a stream but couldn't find anywhere, but the actual score is 93-85 for Efes. Judging from stats, good game for Petrusev - 20, 8, 1 and 2 blocks.

Yes, it was. I shared the stats after the third quarter by mistake.

Efes is playing against Tofas in the first game of the Gloria Cup in Antalya. Petrusev is unfortunately not ready for Euroleague it seems. Tons of positioning mistakes, contact in the low post is there but his second moves cause always fouls. His rolling habits are solid always available for the pass and touch around the rim doesnt look half bad.

Zalgiris lost to a weak Tofas with 71:57. Mudiay looked like he needs 3 month to get in shape. He looked tired after 10 minutes. Its a very weak team defensively. The hard game of Zalgiris wont be happening in the form we know anymore. I think the biggest concern after Mudiay is the creation of the wings. Very limited guys...

For the first time in last couple of seasons I don't see clear favorite for the title.

If Pangos came I would say CSKA is a step ahead, but without him they are maybe the best but not that much.

Efes made a mistake with Sanli, but they are still among top3 teams.

Fener is maybe stronger then last season but just because Djordjevic is here. Problem is that he will have to work with Kokoskov's selection of players. Weird man that Kokoskov...
