horrible interview. nothing substantial was said. Josh monopolized the interview and Caelum was just left there listening. Time allotted was too short.

It seems like Reyes was downplaying the hype on Harris or not impressed at all. He didn't say anything good except that Harris " has good character, coachable, big potential".

I think Josh Reyes is just trying to manage expectations or the hype on Caelum Harris. I think the last thing one would want is for Caelum to fall short of the expectations or hype as some people would set their expectations so high. We already have seen this in Kobe Paras, right?

That is my thought too.Though he handles the ball well but I think he lacks the speed /quickness of a Norwood type of player. I wanted to see him as an explosive player given his physical strength and athleticism. Hope he be more agile as agile and aggressive as our little guards castro, alapag or tenorio.

Caelum's Biggest Strength is Perimeter Defense.

I think personally based on the limited hl and clips I saw. He is a better perimeter defender than Lopez, and Femi.

That's good news. So what positions can he guard effectively?

So he's basically the replacement for Norwood.

I don't see Navarro taking the mantle. They're simply too different of a player despite both being 6'6.

Navarro's just a wing stopper and someone who can keep the ball moving around. What we call a "squad player." Caelum's different, e. Looks like he can do more.

That's pretty much Navarro's role in Gilas,I would like to see him to develop to a combo forward/guard,he would make a difference with his size at 2 on a need basis.

If Caelum's game or playstyle will be the same as Justin Brownlee and reach Brownlee's level, then the wing problem of Gilas will be solve.

Do you think he will play for US NCAA DIV 1?

Do you think he will be a good asset for Gilas senior 5 yrs from now?

He could probably go D1, he certainly good enough but I don’t see him as a defensive stopper at all, maybe guard the 4 but his perimeter defense wasn’t good. Also his motor and attitude didn’t seem great during the tournament, still young so maybe immaturity at play and plenty of time to correct that.

Probably good enough for Gilas in the future potentially.

He will be good in the US NCAA Div1,if he stays 2 years,to get his game polished and the discipline to boot, who knows he might even make it as a first round draft pick.

His game reminds me of Kelly Williams, their shooting stroke are a bit awkward but they are both hyper athletic and a monster in fast break..

Based on what I saw in Caelum's game in the recent Asian U-16 tournament, I think he has better handles than Kelly Williams. Although its early to tell, but I see Caelum as having a better shooting than a prime Kelly Williams when Caelum reaches his prime. Becoz of this, I think Caelum is a natural small forward while Kelly is more of a "four".

I see Caelum as the better offensive player while Kelly is slightly better in defense.

BTW, I like Caelum's energy, activity & shotblocking. He's very active inside the court. A downside though is his tendency to become sort of a prima donna.
