They have much bigger problems, than taking chances with Euro. Micic can shine only with ball in his hands. Nobody will give him keys like Ataman in Nba. Americans like much more specialist like Bertrans.

Who said he would shine. He is a 15 minutes rotation player from the bench, no less and no more. The question is if he is needed or not. After the last season there were serious discussion to drag him and pay his buyout but if he continues like that idk if sixers keep wanting him.

He is a gifted player who is eager to take a bigger role than he could handle. He also could feel obligated to do more. Its up to Ataman to find new solutions and increase the physicality of his team its just clear that Micic is not the guy who could seal a game. You can be a good player though. There are many good guys who cant handle crunch time situations like Dennis Schröder who is the most terrible one, Shved (a couple years ago), Calathes or Heurtel.

Micic except for bad shooting was great yesterday. Dude was making the correct play most of the time, while ataman was kinda saying its mostly his fault

Ataman is an overrated coach but Micic seems to doubt himself and is doubting what to do. Also, with Larkin he didn't need to create out of thin air as Larkin could do that and he would just exploit the created weaknesses in defense. He can't do that without Larkin as the defense focuses on him first and foremost.

Forcing Moerman over Singleton is the main reason imo. Efes boost last season started from the moment when Singleton arived but ataman forgot that.

He was awful yesterday but one of the reasons for that is his role in the team. 11 minutes for such player is result of Ataman madness and ignorance. Such player has to play at least 25 minutes per game regardless of the numbers on the court.

Efes last year overachieved because Larkin was playing otherworldly. It is much easier for Efes players to shine when you are playing 4v3. I refuse to believe all Efes players were great and they are terrible now. It is clear what has changed.

It is always the same story with Ataman. He gets his hands over a good PG, gives him complete freedom, then motivates other players to exploit the defense as that PG has all the attention. Arroyo, Williams, Iverson, McCollum at a lower level, and now Larkin.

Its a pity. On the one hand its understandable to keep the entire roster and try to finish this journey on the other hand it was also clear that this roster has some weaknesses. I was sure Singleton would be a mess and I suspected Simon to start slowly. I was right with Singleton but I failed miserably with Simon.

Its weird though. After this difficult prep time teams like Real Madrid or Efes should be more ready. Human mood is a difficult thing. Though... Larkin with his energy is able to catch the team emotionally again. I am just curious in what condition he comes back.

There is one thing about Ataman that everyone should understand. He has his own way to motivate his players. You just saw it with Micic yesterday but he is much more severe with the Turkish ones and he likes to move with extremes (ifrat and tefrit arabs say). You can hear Ataman saying for instance that Sanli is one of the precious bigs in entire Euroleague now (which is bullshit) and you can also hear devastating critics as well. This is his style if you like him or not but he is a good coach, the best Turkish one.
