Finally some news about Anadolu Efes from the general Ataman himself:

    1. There are 3 candidates for the center position and all 3 are waiting for the NBA. Latest date of signing will be in 3 weeks.
    2. Ataman wanted a Turkish center too to build up a new Sertac Sanli and he named as I did Egemen Güven (this man knows how it works ) but he already signed with Bursaspor. Thats why Efes will be playing without a Turkish center this season.
    3. Atamans intention is giving Saybir a big role in the Turkish league (as I said again). It was time.
    4. Larkin is still injured and needs to rest 6 weeks.
    5. A surprising move. 2001 born play maker Ömercan Ilyasoglu wont be loaned and he will also get more chances to prove himself. If he is not ready, he will be loaned later on. Ömercan is a pass first play maker resembles a lot Teodosic (not saying he is his successor just play style is similar). Offensively gifted but defensively a total liability.

Thanks for the update! Any clues as to who the three centers might be?

Wonder if it might be Ömer Yurtseven if he gets cut from Miami. Probably the best (non Enes Kanter) Turkish center possibility.

    Good decision

He will have a problem that Kokoskov made roster for his strange system. As I said Djordjevic is underated coach, but he will need at least space to bring new pg and pf. Kokoskov made a big mistake with some signings again.

Seems that Larkin will stay in Efes and again he will miss first rounds like last season. So again Efes is in the game with the best overall duo in EL.

Tobey is perfect player for them imo, there was even rumor about him

No, he is not an option. Not because they dont want him but Ataman wouldnt have said "we will play with foreign center this season (in the Turkish league)". I dont think that Yurt7 has what it needs to be in the NBA but he said always he doesnt want to return to Europe.

I consider this season crucial for Ömer. If some EL team rings he shouldn't even think.

    SG Strelnieks, Milaknis, Lukosiunas
    SF Ulanovas, Giffey
    PF Cavanaugh, Jankunas
    C Lauvergne, Nebo, Blazevic

Everything will be on Mudiay's shoulders. If he develops into what he can (dominant inside scorer), he have the tools to win. There will be raining threes - sharpshooters like Cavanaugh, Giffey, Strelnieks, Milaknis, Lekavicius and Lukosiunas, decent shooters like Kalnietis, Ulanovas and Jankunas. We potentially will have a good defensive lineup with Mudiay, Kalnietis, Giffey, Ulanovas and Nebo, so when we will need a stop, we can get it (theoretically). PnR specialists like Kalnietis and Strelnieks can play with Lauvergne and Nebo (both very athletic). Ulanovas and Giffey can switch to PF and Milaknis can go to SF in special occasions. Pretty balanced lineup, with much experience and a couple interesting EL newcomers in Mudiay and Nebo. Well, if Mudiay will come, but he is close.

    What do you guys think?
Well, Mudiay is not a done deal, so I would not want to elaborate on that.

Strelnieks if healthy is probably a much better option than Blazic. An elite shooter, a good creator, good PnR player. Having in mind that our main PG is going to be someone who looks to score first, Strelnieks is a good option, that can create for the bigs, as well as, make a three.

My only problem with our guards is that none of them are good in defense, especially when compared to Walkup, who was elite in that regard. It looks like Žalgiris is planning to play 'who scores more' type of basketball and despite having some great offensive potential, we will lack talent against most of the Euroleague teams. That's why I always think that an underdog team like Žalgiris has to be a defensive-minded team first and only then look for ways to score.

Anyway, if healthy, I think it's an interesting team, with high IQ players. If Schiller plays his cards right, we could get into top-8 or be somewhere near it.

Compared to last season, I think that we've become much worse in the PF position, a little bit worse in SG position, much MUCH better in SF, a little bit better in C and now it all will depend on who is going to be our main PG. If it's Mudiay - I'll say that we seem like a more promising team than last year. But it'll all depend on Mudiay's motivation to play in Europe.

GLeague increased salaries some, but still quite a bit lower than what he should be able to make in Europe.

To be fair: The deal is still not official.
What kind of weird business is Maccabi doing? Doesn't use the matching right and now ask Zoosman to pay a buyout for every year he plays for Alba out of respect? That's a weird way to deal with players.

That would be Albas first signing of the year, but there is still much to do.

    - Re-sign Lo
    - Find a PG as Granger replacement who is a do it all like Jaleen Smith (who seems NBA bound)
    - Find a offensive SF as Fontecchio replacement like Daulton Hommes (also NBA bound)

Plus Aito is still not official to return as a coach. So many needs, but no solid rumors at all for weeks.

What's wrong with letting him go? Zussman asked to leave and asked Maccabi to not use their right to match Albas proposal. Not that Zus in last two seasons was very impressive...
He doesn't have 3p% good enough for a swingman, his only pluses are decent defence and size, and Israeli passport. Since Maccabi has enough players to play SG, they signed Sorkin, who can play 3/4/5, and has similar qualities - size, decent defence, not bad 3p%, and Israeli passport.

He asked them not to use matching right, so they expect some small (EUR 60000) compensation. Not sure it's worth a time, to be honest, but he really didn't give much output last year... So here we are...
    Yalla Maccabi!!!

Landale wasn't good solution imo. Tobey is ideal replacement for Sanl
