Also, you say it's hard to take him seriously and yet there have always been Maccabi fans on here who will debate with him endlessly. (Remember goga78?) And in a lot of those exchanges maccabeo posted more like a fan while goga seemed more set on defending the decisions of management.
I am not sure maccabeo sounds like real fan, he is never or almost never is satisfied.... And yes, I also ridicule (wouldn't really call it debate) him quite a lot, mostly for fun, after all, there's not much Maccabi discussion on this forum.

Obviously you're right about the constraints the club are currently operating under. Hopefully we'll be able to see Maccabi home games with a full crowd again soon, because Euroleague has missed that.
I hope too, it will be interesting team, if it works, especially in offence. I still have my doubts about defence, though, but we"ll see I guesss.
    Yalla Maccabi!!!

    Save English, ban macabeo....

No surprise, it's life opportunity for Kokoskov. Mavs will do anything to please Luka, great position for Kokoskov.

Seems like Sale Đorđević is frontrunner for Fener coach. So harmony time outs would be over

It certainly is. He won't need to stay up late or pay for league pass to watch Luka next season. Courtside seats.

I don't regret at all for him

He was fluke, nothing special, we just lost season with his bad trnsfer decisions(Ulanovas etc) and I am afraid we will lose one more.

Now it's obvious who won EC for Slovenia(his only success). What a player this Doncic is, is this real??? Does anybody know who is Slovenia's coach in Tokyo, who cares, as long as Doncic is there.

I wish all the best to Kokoskov , he did the right move for all.

Do you remember arguing with me, how Datome is better than Doncic?

Point is how trivial is coach's role and name when Doncic is in the team. Kokoskov is maybe great theorist coach but very thin on the court. Decision to be beside Doncic, as assistent coach is the best for him. He could take Can with him

Datome was better in that moment,, he was on the top of his career, Doncic on the start. Datome was the winner and one of the best players in F4 where Fener won the title. Doncic cried like a baby(in fact he was exactly that in basketball term with just 18y)
But in this moment we can't even compare them because Doncic is probably the best player on the world and Datome on the edge of retire

Doncic has won Euroleague's MVP in the season you said Datome is better.

It was already known individual player performance won Slovenia the gold, in a tournament where most stars were missing. But that wasn’t Doncic it was Dragic. A monster tournament and 35 points in the final against Serbia, deserved mvp of the Eurobasket. It’s great for Slovenia that immediately after his retirement they found someone to fill his place with Doncic, but that medal wasn’t with Doncic’s leadership. Serbia would have won without Dragic.

Thanks to Causeur and stage-fright Vesely yet again even missing open dunks when it matters most. No Doncic was far from the most impressive player that Euroleague season. I believe most of his points were freethrows and he was completely invisible in the playoffs against Panathinaikos. He was young then so it’s normal, but let’s not act like he was the actual mvp, cause he wasn’t.

He was MVP for the whole season and F4. Who was better in regular season? MVP for F4 is always a little bit questionable, because it's only 2 games.

    Doncic in F4, 15.5/5/3; Pir 17.5

    Causeur in F4, 11.5/2/2.5; Pir 15.5

Luka better in everything while playmaking Real. And he was defened totally different than Causer. All focus was on him.

He has got both MVPs in Acb too. I kinda doubt all that was just luck.

Yes, Dragic was the MVP in Eurobasket. But I doubt it's just a coincidence that Slovenia has won first medal with Doncic and first Olympics qualification. Dragic was the best player in Eurobasket, but Slovenia wouldn't have won anything without Luka.

Djordjevic is the most underated coach in Europe imo. I was first here to mention his name, even before rumors, radallo knows

He will win EL sooner or later. I don't know it it will be with Fener or other team but he will. He is born winner.

If Mudiay comes to Zalgiris, the roster is done. Roster:
    PG Mudiay, Kalnietis, Lekavicius
    SG Strelnieks, Milaknis, Lukosiunas
    SF Ulanovas, Giffey
    PF Cavanaugh, Jankunas
    C Lauvergne, Nebo, Blazevic

Everything will be on Mudiay's shoulders. If he develops into what he can (dominant inside scorer), he have the tools to win. There will be raining threes - sharpshooters like Cavanaugh, Giffey, Strelnieks, Milaknis, Lekavicius and Lukosiunas, decent shooters like Kalnietis, Ulanovas and Jankunas. We potentially will have a good defensive lineup with Mudiay, Kalnietis, Giffey, Ulanovas and Nebo, so when we will need a stop, we can get it (theoretically). PnR specialists like Kalnietis and Strelnieks can play with Lauvergne and Nebo (both very athletic). Ulanovas and Giffey can switch to PF and Milaknis can go to SF in special occasions. Pretty balanced lineup, with much experience and a couple interesting EL newcomers in Mudiay and Nebo. Well, if Mudiay will come, but he is close.

    What do you guys think?
