Hope they will create tough roster. Fener fans better following their teams but as it seems a good point guard is must be... even though there are not many around.

Budget rise doesn't mean anything with this management

We have the worst scouting in EL (excuse me Katastroika) and people who brought Brown and Ulanovas aren't capable to use in proper way any budget they get.

Thanks to Obradovic we had decent roster because De Colo and Vesely were here(Guduric and Biberovic were part of his project too), but everything else was bad.

Kokoskov did an awful job with transfer market, but it's ok for now, he is new here. If he repeats this next season then it will be disaster for this club

We haven't signed him. We were very close, but he's getting huge interest from NBA and he's going to take his chance overseas.

I won't open new thread about MVP nominations and awards, but I think this is not off topic

It's indescribable pleasure for me(after "fight" with Killer Bob about Lucic and with Vivo about Pangos) that those two players voted for EuroLeague First Team.

I believed from the start of the season in them and I regret just one thing, they are not Fener's players.

Indeed! Lucic vs Ulanovas was one of the big talking points before the start of the season.

Absolutely, especially when you consider the CSKA guys who are injured/banned from Russia.

Interesting move. Didn't expect that because Niels seems to be very soft for a team like Zalgiris. But very good shooter.

Moreover he provides a decent post-game, intelligent movement without the Ball, especially as a cutter, solid defense and a gorgeous wife.

I will make it as polite as possible... Niels is not a EL player.

He is EL player, but not for a starting position in Zalgiris. I think in Alba he is in perfect environment being a captain, important role player. It sounds not so realistic for him to leave it all. Unless that's some agents moves as it seems Giffey moved to beobasket lately and Misko loves to make money

You shall forget the physicality, versatility, and creativeness that were focal criteria in the Zalgiris scouting process. Last off-season Schiller didn't have a lot of power/leverage over Motiejunas to recruit his own roster suitable for his play-style. AFAIK only Patricio Garino was backed by Schiller, but he didn't deliver due to his injury-related issues over the course of the season. Basically, he was forced to coach a team that was gathered by Saras' ideology. Except for Garino and Lauvergne, who most likely was recommended by Westermann, everyone, including Rubit/Vasturia/Blazevic were recruited or scouted by Saras. Therefore, as Zalgiris is going to reduce their budget significantly this year, it's obvious that the vast majority of the roster will be leaving green-whites and alteration is inevitable. It's evident that during the upcoming off-season, Motiejunas will empower Schiller's rights in decision-making regarding new signings. Thus, be ready to witness a divergent version of Zalgiris next season.
