Hmmmmm good insights. Ginebra has a legitimate shot of winning, meanwhile, SMB has still their old core in the lineup. they should find via FA or Trades.

OT: Rockets part ways with Capela, Nene, and Gerald Green

In return, they received Covington and Jordan Bell.

    Rockets projected starting 5:

    Westbrook 6'3
    Gordon 6'3
    Harden 6'5
    Tucker 6'6
    House 6'7

It is also not impossible to see for the Rockets this 5 on the floor:

    Westbrook 6'3
    Gordon 6'3
    Rivers 6'4/McClemore 6'4
    Harden 6'5
    Tucker 6'6

This team is closer to your typical PBA starting line up. Lol

Covington will start once he learns D’Antoni’s system, which is mostly 4 out and 5 out iso and PnR. They did not let go of Capela to have RoCo off the bench. Eric Gordon plays that 6th man role for them.

Regardless, Covington is only 6'7. So a combo of Covington-Tucker is still way undersized.

D'Antoni's fascination with small ball is comparable to Chot's and many PBA coaches. Hehe

We will see a lot small ball this coming All-Filipino Cup. Goodness gracious.

No way they become the worst team without fajardo, fringe playoff team? Yes, but not the worst team in the league

They might win some games but they’re not getting deep into the playoffs. Tucker is no Draymond Green and there’s not much rim protection there if they continue to shy away from Harstentein. Perhaps the newly acquired Bell should he play to his potential. Otherwise, they’d be punished at the paint.

Small ball works but only if you can defend with the same unit. RoCo is perfect for small ball, but idk if he could make Houston a much better defensive team knowing Westbrook and Harden are not really known for their defense.

Mo, Arwind, Lassiter, Ross and Romeo would still be a potent starting 5 for the All-Filipino.

    My Take:

I guess Houston plan now is to overwhelm its opponent to death in the offensive side. Defense be damned. That wont work on complete, well-balanced teams such as both LA teams, Milwaukee and Boston.

This could be Mo's big break. Hope he steps up.

It's kots Leo's time to shine. Prove to the haters even without the most dominant bigman in the history of PBA he can win the AFC.

    What about their bench players,

Cabagnot, Pessumal, Zamar, Vigil, Rosser, Lanete, and Escoto..

it was said that SMB had the deepest bench in the PBA with any of the other 7 players on the bench could start for a PBA team, but looking at that bench they lack bigs and fire power.

Would love to see SMB miss the playoffs entirely. LOL.

    C - Mo 6'7"
    PF - Santos 6'3"
    SF - Lassiter 6'2"
    SG - Romeo5'11"
    PG - Ross 6'2"

    Bench:

    Cabagnot 6'0"
    Pessumal 6'2"
    Zamar 5'10"
    Vigil 6'3"
    Rosser 6'5"
    Lanate 6'0"
    Escoto 6'6"
    Mamaril 6'6"

they only have 3 players who are 6'6" up and Mamaril is approaching 40yo. while Escoto is just entering his 2nd season, bagito pa..

We might see a Santos. Lassiter, Romeo, Cabagnot, Ross line up from SMB which is super small ball gaming, MPBL size line up,
