Honestly dont know if Kai would be able to play thru that kind of officiating. It was so bad.

I want to see how a Malonzo, Kendrick, Moore, Balkman, Mikey lineup will do. Seems like the ideal small ball lineup

    Bawal palang mag-criticize.

Okay, Mighty played a masterful game tonight. The ball movement and playmaking was top notch and Blatche was unstoppable!

Para lang DDS. Criticize lang delawan na. Seriously, Filipinos are a sensitive lot. They always equate criticism as being a crab. Anyway, a win is a win is a win. so there.

We all want Kai to experience physicality, but not like this with bad officiating. Well Basketball without borders is much better than this tournament.

I dont know whats the purpose of this but to promote Mighty sports. There is token participation of Pinoys but it is basically a team of foreigners. I just watched a bit but didnt see anything from our Gilas candidates. And we have Fady getting all the calls even if it he cant handle the ball at times. One of the worst hometown calls for a player Ive seen. This was a BS game. But I hope we see more of the candidates next.

National team with 2 imports is considered as a club team

Yes. Kai dodged a bullet. Officiating here is worse than FIBA. Balkman can’t defend without fouling? Lol.

People should know the difference between a criticism and an insult.imagine the damage it will do if people are all praises but in reality you are not really good.

Ok, that is not good for cohesion unless the 2 imports are candidates for naturalization but one of them is EL Khatib. Maybe they brought them in to make their NT competitive looking at the box scores looks like their locals s*ck big time. I think even our own UAE-OFW basketball team can beat their Local NT.

Thats not our problem, besides it might be a strategy to mislead us that they are a "national team".making us think that they are weak.everybody wants to win on this tourney,if not for el khatib's 25+ points we could have beaten that by that margin last night.

On the other side, Kai needs also to learn how to play with bad calls.

Remember , in nba, there are also terrible calls, you can watch it in youtube nba worst calls/No calls.

Like Lebron not called by travel, KD not called for stepping outside, and also a lot of non calls in fouls.

Referees are nit perfect. They can make mistakes. They can be paid. They can be talked.

Saying all of these, I agree that Kai and his camp made the right decision. And NBA BRB is a lot better than these.
    Kai will be recognized there

Kobe Paras should take notes from El-Khatib. The guy is a strong as a power forward while he has guard skills.Although he is not as quick as he used to, he still can give a lot of opposing teams tons of problems.Kobe should be like a Fadi El-Khatib/Mitch Creek type of player, tough, confident, can score at will and has good leadership qualities.not to mention very consistent and mentally tough specially in high level situations.

Yeah.. that's right move for Kai.. but I hope someday he will play for us in a fiba sanction tournament.. this is the best way to upgrade his stock at the NBA draft.. maybe on November this year or next year's Asia cup.. he needs to be tough vs veteran players..

I agree with the part Kai not participating being a good thing, especially for his development. He's steadily improving the way he's doing things, there's no benefit for him to play in this tournament or the upcoming Asia cup. Better for him to continue to prepare for college/nba and the fiba u18 for now. As a fan though I would've loved to watch him play in as many televised tournaments as possible.
