The 6-foot-4 bruiser said he started to feel pain in his abdomen a month into the Tigers' bubble training in coach Aldin Ayo's hometown, which is now the subject of an investigation for violating health protocols during the pandemic.

Bataller said he tried to convince his coaches to have him checked in a hospital, but claimed that they just kept ignoring his pleas.

“Hindi nila inaasikaso sakit ko. Sinabi ko na sa kanila nung umpisa pa lang na need ko magpa-ultrasound para malaman kung ano ang sakit ko,” the Tigers forward told SPIN.PH on Wednesday.

Bataller also revealed that he lost weight as the illness took its toll on his body.

“Sobrang pumayat ako dahil don. Pagdating ko ng Sorsogon wala pa akong sakit, nag-start lang ‘to nung one month na kami. Feeling ko kaya ako nagkasakit dahil sa food dun,” he said.

Bataller said he’s scheduled for a check-up on Thursday, his first since members of the team arrived in Manila from Sorsogon,

"Tomorrow pa lang ako magpapa-ultrasound. Mayroon akong mga bawal kainin pero nakakakilos naman ako. Pwede naman nila ako ipagamot dun pero parang wala lang sa kanila,” Bataller said.

        This might not end well.

They would need to be able to field teama for both HS and College for all sports. Highly unlikely.

                  • oh boy, IATF and UAAP pointing fingers regarding who should sanction UST, looks like UST might get the Blackwater treatment, tsktsk

-"Mitra (PSC) said the possible sanction should be similar to what the PBA did to Blackwater in which it fined the team for conducting team practices in violation of the government’s safety standards against the COVID-19 pandemic."
-"“Gusto sana namin ‘yung maging parang Blackwater na inimbestiga ng PBA tapos tutulong na lang kami pero parang ayaw ng UAAP dahil hindi lang daw ‘yun ang tournament. We cannot do conclusions until they hear their side,” said Mitra.""

I guess it’s this dilly dallying that will eventually get UST off the hook. Organizers of this bubble should be jailed.

UAAP is too afraid to sanction UST since it creates a dangerous precedent that can be used against any other university, in this day and age of social media, im pretty sure that another bubble controversy would leak.

Wish someone would file criminal charges against Ayo and all the organizers of the Sorsogon bubble

                            • With or without suspension, an exodus of players and recruits scared away by Ayo will be enough punishment for Ayo and the school. They will be the new cellar dweller NU for years to come. I hope all their best players leave.

If it was DLSU that was caught, suspended na yan bago pa mag convene ang IATF. LOL.

If UST somehow manages to overcome this scandal with a Blackwater type of sanction, its official the Dominicans/OP are the Illuminati of the Philippines, heck they were able to lobby the framers of the Philippine republic to put St Thomas' seal (the sun) in our freaking flag..lol
